OSCARS 2020: Complete List of Nominees and Winners! (VIDEO)

The 2020 Oscars are finally here.

The 92nd Academy Awards could potentially be a historic night, depending on how key races pan out. If “Parasite” wins best picture, it would be the first foreign-language film to do so. Its win in the international feature film or director (for Bong Joon Ho) categories would also be a first for a South Korean movie. Yi Seung-Jun and Gary Byung-Seok Kam’s documentary short “In the Absence” could also give the country its first Academy Award.

Meanwhile, Netflix could earn its first best picture Oscar if Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” or Noah Baumbach’s “Marriage Story” win gold. Todd Phillips’ “Joker”, which leads nominations with 11, may become the first comic-book pic to take the top Oscar. Joaquin Phoenix stands to become the second actor to win the statue for playing the notorious Batman villain.

Quentin Tarantino”s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and Sam Mendes’ war drama “1917” – two other best picture contenders – have 10 nods each. James Mangold’s “Ford v Ferrari”, Taika Waititi’s “Jojo Rabbit” and Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women” round out the best picture field.

The Academy Awards, which are hostless again this year, air live on ABC at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.

The nominee slate has been widely criticized for its lack of diversity. Just like last year, no women are nominated for Best Director (including a snub of Greta Gerwig, whose acclaimed adaptation of Little Women is up for Best Picture). In the acting categories, only one non-white actor is nominated – Cynthia Erivo for playing Harriet Tubman in Harriet.

Winners’ will be bolded as they are revealed.
