Canadian superstars, Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber‘s unveiled their music video for their first-ever collaboration “Monster” at midnight on Friday, November 20.
The emotional video was impressively shot in one single take by director Colin Tilley, who’s previously helmed eight videos for Justin including Holy featuring Chance the Rapper.
After his verse, Shawn was magically joined by his 26-year-old idol, who’s been one of his favorite artists since he was nine years old.
Mendes and Bieber kept a healthy distance from each other until singing back-to-back as lightning flashed over the horizon.
The Canadian crooners originally wrote the self-love song with fellow Canucks Daniel Caesar, Mustafa the Poet, and producer Frank Dukes.
“Monster” is the second taste from Mendes’ forthcoming album “Wonder”, following the title track’s release last month. “Wonder”, which marks Mendes’ fourth full-length to date, is slated to drop on December 4.
